BBC Wales & 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' PDF Print E-mail
Visitors might care to view an article entitled Powys Hotel's Sherlock Holmes Hound of the Baskervilles Link that was written by Carl Yapp and published by BBC Wales News on Sunday 22 January 2012 (see here).  This item explores the suggestion that Baskerville Hall and the Baskerville Hound were modelled on Baskerville Hall Hotel in Clyro and 'the Hounds of Black Vaughan' respectively.  I must say that there is little evidence to support these theories, and that I share Alistair Duncan's view, which is presented at the end of the piece.  For further details about the origins of The Hound of the Baskervilles, click here and here.
