BFRonline.BIZ was founded on 17 November 2006 and is a German registered company (GbR). We undertake research projects into all aspects of the life and work of Bertram Fletcher Robinson's (hereafter BFR). Our aim is to promote all findings to the broadest possible audience.
During April 1961, Peter A. Ruber, the then editor of the Baker Street Gasogene wrote of BFR, 'one knows so little of this man that it is curious that no one has yet had the compulsion to search the library shelves and newspaper morgues concerning the mysterious circumstances surrounding his life, and of the even more mysterious circumstances surrounding his death'. BFRonline.BIZ is a response to that observation (see BFR Chronology and BFR Bibliography).
BFRonline.BIZ has collected some 300 books, articles, short stories, playlets, poems and songs that were written, co-written or edited by BFR between 1893 and 1907. We aim to republish the most significant of these works in the near future (see mxpublishing.co.uk, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com).
BFRonline.BIZ also aims to publicise BFR's links to a multitude of distinguished British 20th century figures including Lord Northcliffe, Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch, Sir John Malcolm Fraser, Sir Owen Seaman, Sir Thomas Wemyss Reid, Sir Max Pemberton, Sir Cyril Arthur Pearson, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse, Sir Percy Everett, Sylvia Townsend Warner, Percy Holden Illingworth, Rudolph Chambers Lehmann, Barry Eric Odell Pain, Jessie Pope and many others.
The BFRonline.BIZ website commenced on 14 February 2007 and is still under construction. More photographs, illustrations and articles will be uploaded in due course. Eventually, registered users will receive a monthly newsletter and also be invited to participate in a chat forum.
Finally, we wish to thank you for visiting the BFRonline.BIZ website and we invite your comments, suggestions and requests (see Contact Us).
